ISAF Survival course for offshore regattas.
SkipperClub in collaboration with the School of Sea Beppe Croce YC of Genoa organizes a course on safety and emergency according to the Offshore protocol Special Regulation of the ISAF.
A necessary course for the sailing sailor, but also for the instructor skipper who intends to deepen the knowledge for his personal safety and his crew. The course is taught by FIV and ISAF instructors at the Beppe Croce YC Sea School in Genoa and provides the skills and knowledge necessary to prevent and address emergencies at sea.

The program, structured in two days, provides for the Saturday of the theoretical sessions in the classroom, during which will deepen various topics including specific regulations, equipment on board, issues of responsibility of the person in charge, breakdowns, water and Fire on board, hazardous weather conditions, medical emergencies, from shock to hypothermia. A first aid exercise BLS (Basic Life Support) will also be held.

On Sundays you will take a practical test in the water, at sea or in the pool: opening of the life raft, swimming techniques and survival and final test of the ISAF or WorldSailing certificate.

• Regulations Offshore Special regulations 6.01
• Responsibility of the person in command
• Personal and collective safety equipment, their correct use and maintenance
• The life raft, which one to choose and how to use it.
• Man and Sea Life Lines
• Water and fire failures on board, loss of the governing body
• Boat preparation and equipment
• Hood sails
• Medical emergency, hypothermia......

The practical part with embarkation on the life raft will take place at sea or in the pool.

At the end of the course is issued a certificate recognized by the ISAF, with validity of five years, necessary both to be able to participate in the offshore regattas and to register the Commercial Endorsement for RYA certificates. The renewal will be held in only 8 hours of course, the expired certificate is required.
 
Participation Fee Full Course: €280.00
Share of Renewal: €190.00 (will be held in only 8 hours, the certificate is expired)

The fee includes: Membership card, RC insurance.
NB: For the participation in the course the valid FIV card is required, notify the secretariat for the new FIV card. The card is released behind the delivery of the medical certificate for non-agonistic use.

Attention: Every reservation will be valid only from the moment when the payment of the quota is made by bank transfer, sending the Contabiale of the payment made by email. It is recommended that participants carry with them appropriate clothing for the test in the water of boat abandonment, (waxed boots and any other garments). On Saturday and Sunday lunch breaks will be offered a pasta at the school of Sea Beppe Croce.
